A hydrogen-powered drone developed by Zhangjiagang-based Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Technology and Equipment Co has completed multiple rounds of outdoor flight tests, achieving an endurance of more than 120 minutes — four to five times that of conventional lithium battery-powered drones.
The drone can withstand winds of up to force 6 and operate with precision in complex weather conditions ranging from minus 20 C to 55 C. With a maximum flight radius of 80 kilometers and a payload capacity of more than 5 kilograms, the drone is also equipped with autonomous route planning, fixed-point hovering, intelligent obstacle avoidance and real-time data transmission.
With its strong overall performance, the drone can be deployed in a wide range of low-altitude scenarios, including industrial inspection, forest fire prevention, urban security, water environment monitoring, field surveying, traffic patrols and emergency reconnaissance. It helps overcome the environmental and endurance limitations of conventional drones, meeting the practical needs for all-weather, large-scale and high-precision routine operations.
