On September 7, the second China-LAC Young Entrepreneurs Dialogue was successfully held in Suzhou, bringing together over 100 young entrepreneurs and industry youth representatives from China and several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Uruguay. The participants exchanged views on topics such as technological innovation, green development, and life and health, and explored new opportunities for cooperative development.
Under the theme "Across Mountains and Seas, Youth Co-create: New Technologies, New Ecosystems, New Opportunities", the dialogue was hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Argentina-China Civil Cooperation Association, and organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government, Soochow University, and the Suzhou Youth Federation. The event aimed to further deepen youth exchanges between China and Latin America and strengthen cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship. The delegation covered fields including artificial intelligence, venture capital, agricultural technology, climate technology, and life sciences.
The dialogue featured three thematic sessions: "AI Application Practices" "Green Transition and Clean Energy Case Studies" and "Life Sciences Empowering Health and Aging Solutions". At the event, tech company executives, technical experts, and investors from both sides shared case studies and exchanged insights based on their business practices, further deepening mutual understanding of market environments, industrial ecosystems, and innovation resources.
During their stay in Suzhou, the delegation also visited enterprises and innovation hubs such as Hengtong Group, Wuzhong District Robotics + AI Experience Center, Suzhou International Science and Technology Park, and Innovent Biologics, to learn about Suzhou's industrial development and innovation ecosystem. They also toured Tongli Ancient Town, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Pingjiang Road Historical and Cultural District to experience Jiangnan culture. "This is my first time in Suzhou—not only have I learned about the local culture, but I've also seen extensive applications of artificial intelligence here," said Ruben Altman, co-founder and general partner of Argentina-based Antom.la. He added that he looked forward to deepening ties and promoting multi‑sector exchanges and cooperation between China and Latin America in the future.
