The Suzhou Garden and Greening Bureau announced on Monday that this year's osmanthus market will kick off on Sept. 23, the day of Autumn Equinox.
Last year, the market drew over 20,000 visits a day on average, including foreign visitors from countries such as France and Canada.
The market will return to Guihua Park苏州市桂花公园, or Osmanthus Park, this year and run through Oct. 25. It will feature products from major osmanthus-growing regions across China, agricultural specialties, traditional and trendy food, and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts.
The osmanthus market is part of the fall edition of the 2026 "I'm Visiting Gardens in Suzhou" series. More than 60 events fall into four categories — performances, exhibitions, interactive experiences and study tours — and are scheduled through November.
