A cargo vessel loaded with 227 energy storage containers and 207 other containers is preparing to depart Taicang Port for Singapore. Since the beginning of this year, Suzhou Port has continued to expand its two-way logistics links with Southeast Asia, with routes now covering major ports across the region. From January to August, more than 90,000 TEUs of containers were handled on routes between Suzhou Port and Southeast Asia.

In recent years, Suzhou Port has continued to expand its network of regional and long-haul shipping routes. Its foreign-trade container services now connect with major ports in regions around the world, making it the port in Jiangsu and along the Yangtze River with the largest number of routes, the highest route density and the widest coverage.

At the same time, Suzhou Port is accelerating the integrated development of port resources and actively developing water shuttle services, including the Xuzhou-Suzhou and Danyang-Taicang routes, to strengthen its support for the real economy across Jiangsu.

From January to August, Suzhou Port handled 7.22 million TEUs of containers, up 2 percent year on year.
