The 15th Suzhou Creative & Design Cultural Industry Expo officially opened at the Suzhou International Expo Centre on September 29. The main venue covers an exhibition area of 35,000 square meters, featuring 84 themed booths. It has attracted over 500 cultural and creative institutions and enterprises from more than 40 countries and regions, gathering over 1,000 categories and tens of thousands of cultural and creative products.
This year's Expo allows visitors to appreciate the beauty of world civilizations within one venue. Four world-class museums—the British Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the State Hermitage Museum—present their IP products alongside top domestic institutions. For institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, the National Library of China, the Liaoning Provincial Museum, the Xinjiang Museum, the Tibet Museum, the Potala Palace, and the Norbulingka, this is their first time participating in the Expo. They are centrally showcasing cultural and creative products modeled after exquisite relics in their collections.
The Media Outlets Cultural Creative Exhibition brings together a hundred national media outlets, including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and China Media Group. It marks the first large-scale centralized presentation of cultural and creative products themed on intangible cultural heritage. Visitors can not only browse and shop but also enjoy hands-on workshops. Youth favorites such as perler bead crafting, button badge making, shrink plastic art, and letterpress printing are available for on-site registration and run all day during the exhibition period.
This edition also features a special AI Future Store with products from 18 technology companies. It covers digital interactive experiences such as AI-powered outfit changing, AR interaction, and digital shadow puppetry. Visitors can also shop for global goods and savor specialty foods from around the world.
