Taiping Temple

The ginkgo tree in pictures above attracts many tourists even on a dull and overcast weekday. The tree grown outside the Taiping Temple in Taiping Sub-district, Xiangcheng District is almost one thousand years old and is one of the oldest ginkgo trees in Suzhou.

Daoqian Street

As for ginkgo sceneries, local people in Suzhou would prefer Daoqian Street to all the rest places in the city. Just walk along the street and you will have a spectacular view of ginkgo trees.

Dinghui Temple

Two ancient ginkgo trees that stand in front of the palatial hall in the Dinghui Temple have witnessed the change of times.

Zhiping Temple

There are several old ginkgo trees in the Zhiping Temple, Shangfangshan Mountain (上方山治平寺). It’s a very secluded place less known to visitors. You can see the golden leaves falling from the trees and experience tranquility there.

Tiger Hill Scenic Area

The golden yellow ginkgo trees grown at the main gate to the Tiger Hill Scenic Area (虎丘正山门) attract throngs of visitors during this time every year.

The Lingering Garden

There are several hundred-year-old ginkgo trees in the Lingering Garden (留园); the oldest one that is located to the west of the central rockery is 350 years old.
